Removing the front wheel (Vehicles without ABS)
- Raise the motorcycle with the rear lifting gear
- Lift the motorcycle with the front lifting gear.
- Loosen screw1by several rotations.
- Release screws2.
- Press on screw1to push the wheel spindle out of the axle clamp.
- Remove screw1.
- Holding the front wheel, withdraw the wheel spindle. Take the front wheel out of the fork.

Installing the front wheel

- Check the wheel bearings for damage and wear.
- If the wheel bearing is damaged or worn.
- Change the wheel bearing.
- Clean and grease the shaft seal rings 1 and mating surfaces A of the spacers.
- Clean the thread of the wheel spindle and screw 2.
- Lift the front wheel into the fork, position it, and insert the wheel spindle. Mount and tighten screw 2.
- Operate the hand brake lever repeatedly until the brake linings are in contact with the brake disc and there is a pressure point.
- Pull the front wheel brake and push down hard on the fork several times to align the fork legs.
- Tighten screws 3.
- Take the motorcycle off of the rear wheel stand.

- Check the rear hub rubber dampers.

- Change the wheel bearing.
- Clean and grease the shaft seal rings 1 and mating surfaces A of the spacers.
- Long-life grease.
- Clean the thread of the axle and nut 2.
- Clean the fixing locations on the brake caliper support and swing arm.
- Install rubber damper & rear sprocket carrier on the rear wheel.
- Stand the rear wheel in the swing arm and mount the brake caliper on the brake disc.
- Push the rear wheel as far forward as possible and place the chain on the rear sprocket.
- Pull the rear wheel back and mount wheel spindle 3.
- Mount nut 2 and washer.
- Push the rear wheel forward so that the chain adjusters are on the screws, and tighten nut 2..
- Take the motorcycle off of the rear wheel stand

- Remove screw 1 with washers and push the fender slightly to the side.
- Remove screw 2 & and pull wheel speed sensor 3 out of hole.
- Loosen screws 4 by several rotations.
- Loosen screw 5.
- Press on screw 4 to push the wheel spindle out of the axle clamp.
- Remove screw 4.

- Operate the front brake and compress the fork a few times firmly. The fork legs straighten.
- Tighten screws 6

Preparatory work
- Raise the motorcycle with the rear lifting gear.
Main work
- Remove screw 1
- Remove screw 2 and pull wheel speed sensor 3 out of the hole.
- Remove nut 4 and washer.
- Remove chain adjuster 5.
- Holding the rear wheel, withdraw wheel spindle 6 with the washer and chain adjuster 5.
- Push the rear wheel forward as far as possible and take the chain off the rear sprocket.
- Push chain guard to the side.

- Pull the rear wheel back and take it out of the swingarm.

- Lay the read wheel on a workbench with the rear sprocket facing upwards and insert the wheel spindle in the hub.
- To check the play A, hold the rear wheel tight and try to rotate the rear sprocket.

The engine power is transmitted from the rear sprocket to the rear wheel via 6 rubber dampers. They eventually wear out during operation. If the rubber dampers are not changed in time, the rear sprocket carrier and the rear hub will be damaged.
